BMW has finally made an official announcement about this. The brand has announced the upcoming arrival of the M5 in North America and has taken the opportunity to confirm the addition of the Touring version to the lineup, which is excellent news for fans of the model. Moreover, it should be noted that nearly 7,000 people signed a petition asking BMW to bring the family version to North America, and this is one of the reasons why the brand did so.
A Family Rocket
The BMW M5 is no small car, but that doesn\'t stop it from being very fast. Indeed, for 2025, the Bavarian family car will offer two options on the mechanical front. First, it will be available with a twin-turbo V8 engine whose power is expected to exceed 600 horsepower. It will also be possible to obtain a hybrid version with the same engine for a total power of 735 horsepower. This is essentially the same powertrain found in the BMW XM SUV.
According to BMW\'s initial estimates, the PHEV version could travel up to 100 kilometers on a full charge in 100% electric mode.
